Improve your morning routine and improve your health and wellbeing

A regular morning routine that incorporates daily habits and rituals can positively impact your productivity, mood, sense of calmness, success and health.  How you start your day sets the tone for the rest of the day so if you are waking up late, rushing out the door, feeling stressed, eating on the run, this pattern will likely follow you throughout the day.  If you start the day eating sugary processed foods then you are likely to make bad food choices throughout the rest of the day. Tune in once or twice a week by closing your eyes and replaying the…

How to stay Happy and Healthy this Summer

Finally summer is here… I hope!!!  After summers in the South of France this forever changing weather is taking some getting used to, but I absolutely adore the English countryside and when the weather is gorgeous I am in my element and love being outside.   Being back in the UK has reminded me how much BBQ fun we used to have, I really missed this while we were away for 7 years and as we are about to move into a new and finally a permanent home I am looking forward to long summer days in the garden hosting…

BURN OUT – More than just feeling tired!

I haven’t written in a while and whilst I would love to tell you I have been on a wildly amazing adventure unfortunately it’s quite the opposite.  As you may know from my previous blogs and posts I am no stranger to Fatigue and was first diagnosed with Adrenal Fatigue just over 4 years ago although my symptoms started around 7 years ago.  I thought my lowest point was when I crashed 4 years ago hearing the AF specialist say “Your results are in the lowest 5% I have EVER seen, how on earth are you getting out of bed…

International Women’s Day, My Story by Naomi Buff

International Women’s Day is today, March 8th and has been a day of celebration for Women’s achievements from social to political.  It is recognised globally and has been celebrated for over 100 years and whilst it is not organised by one particular group or organisation it collectively brings together various Women’s corporations, organisations, governments and charities. To be honest I don’t really consider myself successful as I have so many goals which seem to be so far away and it is easy to get wrapped up in the daily grind that I often don’t stop to reflect upon achievements.  It isn’t until someone…

There is no such thing a perfect diet!

I wanted to write about my relationship with food today as many people think that because I work in health and wellness that I have a perfect diet and even though I eat really well and am happy with my diet it is by no means perfect and it has been a rocky road to get here.  I also often notice how people make excuses in front of me if they are eating something naughty which makes me feel slightly uncomfortable as I like a cheeky treat as much as you all! In my 20’s I didn’t really know much…

My top reads and listens for 2017

Reading is a passion of mine which was developed in secondary school thanks to an amazing English teacher who made the lessons fun and pushed me to be the best I could be, I would spend hours on my English essays and feel a sense of achievement when I was praised highly for my efforts. These days, I love to read about about health, wellness and self development but I also I love motivational books, autobiographies, true stories and a novel now and again. “Reading can keep the mind alert, possibly preventing Alzheimer’s, help us focus, improve empathy and further develop…

7 healthy tips for the holidays!

Are you worried about the forthcoming weeks and possibility of over indulgence in naughtiness?  I have found over the years that the more I deprive myself the worse the damage is so here are my top tips for surviving the holiday season:   Don’t deprive yourself!  This is my number one tip, deprivation generally leads to cravings, overeating and anxiety.  Remember moderation is key, slow down your eating and eat with mindfulness.
