Complete this sentence I AM……

Creative, positive, grateful, blessed and happy.

Tell us about your brand/business and what motivated you to start it

My partner Alexandra Harrington and I launched MeMe London 3.5 years ago. We are both mums to boys of the same age and were looking for a shift in our careers that allowed us to follow our passion for business and fashion and also allow us to be full time mums.

What is the biggest thing you have learnt about yourself on your journey?

I have learned so much about myself and life on this journey.  I believe if you can dream a life you love you can create it. I have learned it’s ok to ask for help and there is no such thing as total balance. It’s a great thing to aim for but near impossible to achieve. To be amazing at any one thing others will suffer but I have learned that’s ok. All we can do is our best in that moment and it’s so import to be kind to yourself.

What plans do you have for the future with your business?

Alex and I are working hard to grow the brand in the US and the Middle East. We plan to add a mummy daughter line before Christmas and we are excited about launching an amazing collection of statement earrings before the summer.

What one piece of advice would you give to other women wanting to start their own business?

Do it! Jump in head first! You will make mistakes but you will learn as you go. There will be highs and lows but if you love what you are doing it never really seems like work. Choose a name you love to say as you will same it a million times and make sure you secure all your social media handles at the same time as your webpage. It makes life so much easier if they are all exactly the same!

Also I really recommend a little booked called GO GIVERS SELL MORE … it’s a fast easy read and a perfect reminder about the importance of giving. When you make it a priority to help others along the way to their success you will be amazed at how many of the same people can’t wait to help you in return at what always seems to be the exact right moment.

Who is your biggest female role model and how has she inspired you?
My mum is my biggest female role model. Her grace and warmth inspire my daily. I will spend the rest of my life striving  to be the kind of mother, sister, daughter, friend, entertainer, and business woman she is.
What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

Every time I see a woman wearing my MeMe London designs I get so  excited. Equally so if it’s a stranger on the train wearing a stack of MeMe or I spot it on Gigi  Hadid, Sienna Miller, Rita Ora, or Little Mix rocking MeMe London on the red carpet. I feel so honoured every single time a women gets ready for a day on the beach or an evening at the Oscars and out of all their jewellery they have chosen to wear something I have created.  I can’t image that feeling of pride and joy ever going away.
